Vinaconex R& D was founded in 2001 as the design arm of Vinaconex Corporation, one of the largest groups in Vietnam’s construction industry. It has since accumulated talent, skills and experience to become a leading consulting firm working in different sectors of the booming development scene in the dynamic economy of Vietnam.The 150-strong staffs at Vinaconex R&D is a multi disciplinary team, including around 70 architects and planners, 50 structural engineers and specialists in M&E, QS, economic analysis and other specialisations Vinaconex R&D takes active part in numerous projects ranging from innovative high - rise residential developments and public buildings in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, to Master Plans for new towns with investment capital reaching hundreds of millions of US dollars and more, suchas Trung Hoa - Nhan Chinh New Urban Area, North An Khanh New Town and the first biotech park (HABOTEC) in Hanoi, high-end sea resort at Cai Gia, Cat Ba in Hai Phong City, Hung Dien New Town in HCM City, Pearl of Asia luxury resort on Phu Quoc Island, etc The domestic and international client list of Vinaconex R&D includes such names as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Petro Vietnam, Vinaconex JSC, BS Group, Tan Hung Group, Nam Cuong Group, Trusstee Suisse (Switzerland), North An Khanh JVC (VN/South Korea), Pacific Land Ltd., (Ireland), etc. Vinaconex R&D has good experience working with international consulting firms. Partners of Vinaconex R&D in planning and design projects include, among others, Foster+ Parners from UK, HOK offices in San Francisco and AsiaPacific (USA), Group70 from Hawaii (USA), WSP from Hong Kong, PTW from Australia, Nihon Sekkei from Japan,Gleitbau GmbH from Austria, RKW from Germany, Ronveaux from Belgium, Samoo, etc.In 2006, Vinaconex R&D and Drees & Sommer, one of the prestigious business groups from Germany, established a joint-venture company, Drees & Sommer Vietnam, which works in the field of project management.
Since 2007, Vinaconex R&D has participated in organizational and consulting works for architectural competitions. In this field, Vinaconex R&D has organized successful international competitions such us Thang Long Theatre (With the Participation of Foster + Partners and Renzo Piano Building Workshop), Municipal Office Complexin Hanoi and Hanoi Party's Headquaters.
